FEI: Reining: Sweden's Bökeberg Equestrian Facility to Host Inagural FEI World Reining Finals

The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) has announced that the renowned equestrian facility of Bökeberg, just outside of Malmö, Sweden, will be the official host of the inaugural FEI World Reining Finals on May 21, 2011.

Chantal Wigan and Ferero won the Pacific League World Cup Final at the Saddleworld Dressage Festival.  The pair scored 69.000% to win the Grand Prix Freestyle on Saturday night at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.  They also won the Grand Prix on Friday.

Boyd Exell is back on track after winning the fifth qualifier of this season’s FEI World Cup™ Driving in Geneva. Exell was too strong for IJsbrand Chardon and Tomas Eriksson and claimed his only victory rewarded with World Cup points this season. This is Boyd Exell’s third victory at Geneva’s Palexpo after his win in 2008 and the series’ Final last April.

What nobody expected in Hungary’s capital city happened today: Switzerland’s Werner Ulrich stayed ahead of top favourite Boyd Exell from Australia and won the FEI World Cup™ Driving competition in Budapest. Exell made two mistakes and came second, ahead of Ulrich’s compatriot Daniel Würgler. This was the second FEI World Cup™ Driving win in Ulrich’s 31 year long driving career. Germany's Paul Schockemöhle will announce Tortilas new rider and home on Tuesday, November 30, 2010.  Schockemöhle, Germany's leading sport horse breeder and dealer, said that the announcement will be made with the mystery rider aboard the horse at Schockemöhle's Muhlen, Germany stallion station.

Finally --  Germany's Matthias Rath decides to come clean about Tortilas in an interview Rath gave to Swedish publication Tidningen Ridesport (in Swedish)  and reported by the online magazine Eurodressage.  Rath is currently in Stockholm to compete in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle.

Three days before the official announcement, German WEG team rider Matthias Rath decided to come out and open up about riding, Totilas. In an interview with Tidningen Ridsport, Rath admitted that riding Totilas is "a real pleasure." Asian Games: Dressage: DOUBLE GOLD FOR KOREA IN DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ASIAN GAMES

It was all gold for the Republic of Korea in the Dressage Championships at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China this week.

Kenki Sato claimed individual gold and helped Japan to secure the team title in Eventing at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China today.
