Dressage: Odense: Reem Acra FEI World Cup: Isabelle Werth and Satchmo Take First Leg of Reem Acra FEI Dressage World Cup

 Germany's Isabell Werth and Satchmo won the opening leg of the 2010/2011 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Series in Odense, Denmark today and is presented with her award by Lisa Wells, Director of Special Events for Reem Acra. (FEI)
German dressage ace Isabell Werth and Satchmo threw down the gauntlet with a clear victory in the first leg of the 2010/2011 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage series in Odense, Denmark today.

It was girls' day out in France as the Hanoverian mare Mrs Medicott  gave Sweden's  Sara Algottson-Ostholt a ride to the top of a decidedly feminine heap in the Mondial du Lion CCI1* Championship for 6 year-old horses. Jumping clean and turning in a final score of 41.70 placed the pair one point ahead of their nearest rival, Great Britain's Nicola Wilson and the Irish Sport Horse, Annie Clover.

There was a wave of clean jumping at this weekend's Mondial du Lion CCI2* with the top four out of five competitors finishing on their dressage scores.

Germany's Andreas Dibowski proved he knew how to get the job done, taking both first and second place in the  CCI2*.  Dibowski  and the Holsteiner Thoroughbred cross stallion Mighty Magic finished on their dressage score of 43.50 penalty points to win the Mondial du Lion  CCI2*  for 7 year-old horses.

Jumping: Helsinki: Rolex World Cup: Germany's Christian Ahlmann and Taloubet Z Takes Their Second Successive Rolex World Cup Qualifer - By Nan Rawlins

Germany's Christian Ahlmann and Taloubet Z showed their world class mettle by taking their second Rolex World Cup Qualifier in as many weeks.  After taking last week's Rolex Qualifier in OsloThe seemingly invincible pair moved on to Helsinki, taking both the Grand Prix and the World Cup Qualifier.

Sweden's Per Sandgaard and Lomumba Havdal win 2000 Euros for topping the Grand Prix Musical Kur Leaderboard in Helsinki.

Dressage: Helsinki: Pether Markne (SWE) Dressage Grand Prix Winner

 Swedish Pether Markne won the International Dressage Grand Prix Class late on Saturday night with his horse Grosso’s Erbe with 66,255. Swedish Per Sandgaard and Lomumba Havdal came second with the result 64,553. Finlands Alexandra Malmström with MD Waterford was third with a well performed program in 64,553.
