40 starters in today's competition - 10 from the host nation of Germany

13 first-round clears
Oldest horse competing today was the 16 year old Godsend du Reverdy ridden by Denmark's Thomas Velin
Youngest horses were 8 year olds Ciske van Overis ridden by Australia's Edwina Alexander and Chicago competed by Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano
Today's competition was round 5 of the 13 qualifiers that will take place before the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping final which will be staged in Leipzig, Germany from 27 April to 1 May 2011.
5 riders retired including Germany's Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Checkmate). 
One rider was eliminated - Colombia's Rene Lopez who was dislodged from the saddle when Noblesse Des Tess got into a muddle at the triple combination today.
