Wellington, FL - February 17, 2011 - The 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival continued on Thursday with World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) hunter competition at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. All of the rated professional hunter divisions concluded today and awarded championship honors for week six. Champion and reserve champion horses will qualify to compete in the WCHR Palm Beach Hunter Classic Spectacular on Friday evening, showcasing the hunters on an international stage.

In today's $1,500 Adequan 7/8 Year Old Young Jumper Power and Speed class, Laura Chapot of Neshanic Station, NJ, rode her and Barbara Rochford's Elizabeth R to victory.

     TUCSON, AZ (February 17, 2011)—During last week’s Kachina Classic at the HITS Arizona Winter Circuit in Tucson, Arizona, New Mexico’s Elani Rager made it two in a row when she captured the $25,000 HITS Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health, aboard Lisa Upplegger’s Castor for the second consecutive week.

 Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will be offering more than $20,000 in grant money to qualified students, high schools and clubs across the nation through its High School Equestrian Athlete program in 2011. Students who are enrolled in the program, have successfully completed at least one full year, and are members of a USEF Recognized or International Affiliate

Lexington, KY- The U.S. Show Jumping program will undergo significant change in 2013, when legendary Chef d'Equipe George H. Morris will retire from his position. He has led the U.S. Team to Silver at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and Gold at the 2008 Olympic Games. The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has formed a Search Committee to identify candidates to succeed Morris.

OCALA, FL (February 17, 2011)—HITS is pleased to announce that Equine Stallion Services, for the fourth consecutive year, will once again be the title sponsor of the Leading Mare Award. The award will be presented to the overall, highest-placing mare in the HITS Grand Prix competitions during the 2011 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit. The winner will be announced on Sunday, March 20 during the annual Antarès Parade of Champions and will receive a complimentary embryo transfer, fully funded and coordinated by the highly professional team at the Stallion Services department of the Equine Medical Center of Ocala.
