Tortilas, the most successful horse in Dressage history and the first horse to ever score above 90,  has  been sold to Paul Schockemöhle of Performance Sales International in Germany.

Harrisburg, Penn. - October 17, 2010 - A total of 208 junior riders came to the 65th Pennsylvania National Horse Show and competed for the prestigious national equitation championship, the Pessoa/USEF Hunter Seat Equitation Medal Finals Presented by Randolph College. It came down to a ride off and exchange of horses between Hayley Barnhill of Collierville, Tenn. and Samantha Schaefer of Westminster, Md. that resulted in the win for Barnhill.

            Fair Hill, MD-October 17, 2010- Hannah Burnett of Ocala, FL, captured the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) CCI*** in a nail-biting finish at the 22nd annual Dansko Fair Hill International Festival in the Country.  Burnett, who won last year's CCI** at Fair Hill, was flawless on Sunday to win on her dressage score of 49.4 penalties, riding St. Barths, owned by Richard Thompson.

Christian Ahlmann won the opening leg of the 2010/2011 Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Western European League series at Oslo in Norway this afternoon where German riders scooped the top three places.  And Ahlmann's victory was all-the-more creditable for the fact that the 36 year old rider suffered the tragic loss of one of his top horses, the nine year old stallion Calvados Z, earlier in the day.

Eventing: Boekelo CCI***: Coudray Leads U.S. Effort at Boekelo CCI3* - By Jonie Morris

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) sent four Eventing riders to Holland for the Boekelo CCI3*this weekend and produced a second place team result behind the Germans after a hard fought competition. Tiana Coudray (Ojai, CA) led the U.S. effort with Ringwood Magistrar. The nine-year-old Irish Sport Horse set the standard with Coudray in the pair's first overseas competition. They were sixth after the dressage on a score of 46.2, added 7.6 time faults on the challenging cross country course and then jumped a beautiful clear show jumping round to maintain their sixth place position.

Hunter/Jumper: Penn National: Polle Wins Gold Medal in Two-Horse Jump-Off For National Junior Jumper Individual Championship

Harrisburg, Penn. - October 16, 2010 - The exciting Pennsylvania National Horse Show junior jumper action culminated with the $7,500 Randolph College/USEF National Junior Jumper Individual Overall Championship awarded to the rider with the least faults after three phases of competition. In the 18-horse field, two riders entered tonight's competition fault-free and both remained fault-free. Those two riders then entered a two-horse jump-off to decide the Gold and Silver Medals. In the end, New York's Karen Polle and Cachette Z took home the Gold.

France’s Donatien Schauly and the bay, eight-year old Selle Francais Ocarina Du Chanois, edged out cross-country leader Mark Todd (NZL) and Landvision, to win the Boekelo CCI 3*.
