Esse and Small Affair Take Charge in WCHR Spectacular

Traveling all the way from Los Angeles, CA, to ride in the WCHR competition, 17-year-old Olivia Esse made her trip worthwhile with a big win in the WCHR Junior/Amateur-Owner Palm Beach Hunter Classic Spectacular aboard Small Affair, owned by Iwasaki and Reilly.

Glen Senk and Another Place are the winners of the Peggy Cone Memorial WCHR Adult Hunter Classic during the sixth week of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.

Wellington, FL - February 20, 2011 - Glen Senk did more than steal the show this morning as fifty-three entries came out for a chance to win the title in the Peggy Cone Memorial WCHR Adult Hunter Classic. Senk had a total of four entries in the class, all of which placed in the top twelve. Senk's newest mount, Another Place, took top honors in the class with an average score of 83.5 in the first round, and 85.5 in the second round.

Wellington, FL - February 20, 2011 - Two-time Olympic gold medalist Beezie Madden scored her second win this week at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in the $50,000 G&C Farm Palm Beach Jumping Derby. She and Prima, owned by Neapolitan Holding Co., LLC, were the fastest over a challenging derby course on the grass field at The Stadium.

Eventing: Frances Stead's Clifton Promise For Sale



Frances Stead of Clifton Eventers announced today that Clifton Promise is for sale. Promise, a New Zealand Thoroughbred of primarily American bloodlines, finished seventh in the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Jock Paget, who currently has the ride on this top New Zealand Event horse said on the Clifton Eventers website: "... Of course, I'd love to keep the ride on him, but I'm not going to hold my breath! However, for someone looking to share in the glory of winning an Olympic medal I think they'd be hard-pushed to find a better opportunity than investing in Promise and allowing me to have a crack at the gold on him."

While no price has been given, more information on the 16.3 13 year-old Promise, his record and pedigree, is available on the Clifton Eventers Website.

Ulla Salzgeber and Herzuf's Erbe swept to their second victory in the Western European League of the 2010/2011 Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage series in Neumunster, Germany today where fellow-Germans Isabell Werth and Helen Langehanenberg slotted into second and third places.  Salzgeber has been in formidable form all season, placing herself in a prominent position on the leaderboard when winning the Central European League qualifier at Kaposvar in Hungary last October before coming out to win again at Frankfurt, Germany in December.  And the 52 year old rider did it in style once more today, getting the edge over Werth with a performance that oozed professionalism, confidence, control and harmony and which restored her to pole position on the league table ahead of the final two qualifying rounds.
