With three victories in the last four years at the CSIO Buenos Aires, the U.S. Team will once again compete in the Nations Cup that will take place on Friday, November 12 in Argentina. Veteran grand prix rider McConnell will lend valuable leadership to the young team. Rising star Edrick has had a busy year that included a win in the HITS on the Hudson II $75,000 Grand Prix. Coulter and Davis were part of the Zone 10 Team Gold medal winning effort this summer at the Adequan FEI North American Junior/Young Rider Championships.

Cazenovia, NY - November 7, 2010 - Beezie Madden piloted her horses Mademoiselle  and  Coral Reef Via Volo  to the win in the  $80,0000 Syracuse Sporthorse Cup presented by Copernicus Stables.    She seems to own this Cup as she was victorious in 2006 and 2008 as well.   The final Sunday event of the Syracuse Invitational Tournament in downtown Syracuse is always an audience favorite and today was no exception. This special three phase challenge was designed specifically for the spectator, with a format that is unique to the Syracuse Sporthorse Cup.

Quite a bit of  Sunday rain didn't deter Germany's Andreas Dibowski and FRH Fantasia's parade.  The pair  won the Pau CCI4* today following a clean stadium round. Dibowski, fresh from a first and second place in the CCI2* for 7 year old horses at Mondial du Lion two weeks ago, finished the HSBC Eventing season on top of the podium again. A final score of 51.0 was just enough to push the pair up the ladder, despite 10 cross-country penalty points accrued yesterday.

The current world n°1, British William Fox-Pitt, took the lead in Pau with the cross- country on Saturday that he started off without taking any risks: “I might have taken chicken ways, but my priority was to return home in one piece.” This strategy proved to be successful as the Briton took command in this class, thus strengthening his top position in the HSBC FEI Classics.

Eventing: Pau: CCI4*: Belgium and Britain share Dressage honours on Pau

Two of the world’s best exponents of the Dressage phase are sharing the lead at Les Etoiles de Pau (FRA), the eagerly awaited finale to the 2010 HSBC FEI Classics™.

Karin Donckers (BEL), who only just missed an individual medal at the recent Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Kentucky, was the first of the field of 38 to score below 50, and about an hour later there were no surprises when Britain’s Ruth Edge equalled her score of 41.8 penalties.

HRH Princess Haya Al Hussein (JOR) was today re-elected as President of the FEI at the Federation’s General Assembly in Taipei in a landslide victory in the first round of voting. Princess Haya, who was seeking a second and final four-year term as President, won with 90 votes of a total 124 valid ballots.

Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum recorded Germany's third consecutive victory of the 2010/2011 Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping season when topping the line-up at Lyon in France this afternoon following a great performance from Checkmate. And it was a very special victory for the multiple-champion who most recently helped the German team to gold at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Kentucky, USA.

Isabelle Werth (GER) took another long stride towards the Reem Acra Dressage World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany by winning today's Lyon France CDI5*.

Werth -- fresh from her win of the CDI5* in Odense Denmark on Satchmo -- and Warum Nicht FRH topped the leader board in Lyon, France CDI5* World Cup Qualifier with a score of 72.936.  Second place, by a hair's breath, went to fellow German Ulla Salzberger and Herzruf's Erbe. Erbe, newly returned to competition from an injury,  took Salzgerber to a score of 73.085 - the only other pair to break 70 percent. Beatriz Ferrer-Salut of Spain and her horse Faberge finished in third place on a score of 69.617.

The first day of the Bates Australian Dressage Championships has come to an close. With nearly 250 horses from around Australia stabled in the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, the Centre is getting busier by the hour with riders, strappers, dressage enthusiasts and, of course, the obligatory canine pet.

Phillip Dutton (USA) has dominated the United States Eventing Association's Leading Rider scoreboard unlike any other rider.  Having earned the distinction of being Leading Rider eleven times already, Dutton currently stands at 1004 points,  359 points ahead of his nearest rival, Buck Davidson (USA), therefore likely to top the board again this year.
