International Arena Schooling Session Thursday Night for Young Riders

The International Arena will be open on Thursday evening (February 24) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for schooling under the lights for those participating in Friday's Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix. The open water will be available for limited schooling, and the order of go for Friday night will be available. Schooling will be timed in sessions of 10 for twenty minutes, which will include two attempts per horse at the open water jump. Only declared entries will be allowed to school.

Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix:
Friday, February 25, 7 p.m.

The $15,000 Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix will be held on Friday, February 25, at 7 p.m. Declarations were due by 4 p.m. on February 23, 2011. Horses who are entered in this class must be on the show grounds 24 hours before the start of the class. Check in will be from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Exhibitors must bring their horse and back number to the Vet Building located on the North Grounds. You must provide the steward with your stall assignment and location. You must remain on the grounds until the completion of the class.

The qualifying of the three riders for the EY Cup will be based on the following formula and will carry through all Young Rider events except the team event. The points for the First Round will be as follows: Clear Round= 10 points     Four Faults= 4 points Less than 4 Faults= 6 points More than 4 Faults= 0 points Additional points will be awarded to the 12 riders that place in the following order: 1st- 12 Points, 2nd- 11 Points, 3rd- 10 Points, 4th- 9 Points, 5th- 8 Points, 6th- 7 Points, 7th- 6 Points, 8th- 5 Points, 9th- 4 Points, 10th- 3 Points, 11th- 2 Points, 12th- 1 Point
