Harrisburg, Pa. - October 22, 2010 - Victoria Watters of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eye Remember Rio were the best in both rounds of the $10,000 North American League (NAL) Adult Hunter Finals at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, presented by Cavalor. Their two-round combined score of 172 points set them apart from the field, 7.5 points ahead of second place finishers French Kiss and Tina Furey.

The FEI has today announced that all urine samples taken from athletes competing at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ have tested negative for prohibited substances.
The announcement comes just one week after the FEI revealed that all equine blood and urine samples were also free of prohibited substances.

Nina Fagerström from Finland beat a field of 40 fast international riders with her top speed horse Mouse owned by Stephex Stables in Belgium. The pair stopped the clock at 47.87 seconds in the 145 centimetres Grand Prix Qualification Presented by the City of Helsinki.

Harrisburg, Penn. - October 21, 2010 - The national anthem of Venezuela played tonight at the 65th Pennsylvania National Horse Show for the winner of the $30,000 Pennsylvania National Big Jump sponsored by M&T Bank, Pablo Barrios aboard G & C Quick Star 11. He bested an international field of 30 top riders from Brazil, France, Ireland, Canada, as well as the USA's best, to gallop away with victory in 34.16 seconds.

Harrisburg, Penn. - October 21, 2010 - Dr. Betsee Parker's Lone Star and Hunt Tosh turned in stellar performances in the Regular Working Hunter division this week, earning the 10-year-old gelding the Grand Champion Hunter title. Hunt Tosh was also named the Leading Hunter Rider.

Hunter/Jumper: Penn Natoinal: All Aboard Scores Pennsylvania National Horse Show Sidesaddle Championship - by Esther Morgan

Harrisburg, Penn. - October 20, 2010 - All Aboard turned in a sidesaddle performance with Jill Wilson today that will be a ride to remember. The 16-year-old gray gelding earned the tricolor during what may be his final Harrisburg championship with Wilson, his Louisa County, Virginia-partner who is moving on to a new horse.

Eventing: USEF: Ashley Kehoe Awarded Essex Grant

Gladstone, NJ - The Board of the Essex Trust is proud to announce Ashley Kehoe of Purcellville, VA as the recipient of the Essex Grant; an award in the amount of $5,000.  The Essex Trust is a charitable (501c3) fund initiated by the Trustees of the Essex Horse Trials to further the sport of Eventing both through grants to improve the horsemanship of young riders, and to the organizations which lend support and volunteers to Three Day Event competitions.  The Essex Horse Trials was one of the most prestigious Three Day Events held at the USET's Hamilton Farm in Gladstone, NJ.

Jumping: Owners Club: Eric Lamaze named as Owner of the Year

For the second year running, Eric Lamaze and John Fleischhacker, joint-owners of the 14 year old bay stallion Hickstead, have been awarded the prestigious title of “Owner of the Year” by the Jumping Owners Club. Hickstead and Canadian rider Eric Lamaze continued their superb form to maintain their position as the most successful horse and rider combination in 2009.
