Wellington, FL - January 28, 2011 - Week 3 at the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival, which runs through April 3, got off to a chilly start on Friday morning. However, that did not stop Section A of the Low Adult 2'6" Hunters from coming out in full swing for their second day of competition.
Visse Wedell and the Far Niente Equine LLC entry, White Cap, a thirteen-year-old chestnut gelding, were champion for the third week in a row in their section of the Low Adult 2'6" Hunters. The pair topped a field of twenty-three horse and rider combinations for the championship.

Wedell and White Cap secured the championship by winning three classes, and placing second and third in the other two classes.
Reserve Champion this week in in the division went to Milltown. Milltown is an entry of Seraphim Farm and was ridden by Manda Kalimian. Milltown and Kalimian were very close behind Wedell and White Cap in points for the division champion.
Milltown and Kalimian secured the reserve championship by placing second in one class, third in two classes, and fifth in another class.
"White Cap is so easy. Sometimes he is the hardest one to ride because he is the easiest. It has taken me a little while to get used to not having to do anything," said Wedell. She went on to say, "It's nice to have a horse you can depend on. Rain or shine, he just goes."
Tomorrow the younger division of large junior hunters will vie for the championship in their final day of competition during week 3 of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.
