With a total of 11 team slots available for the London 2012 Paralympic Dressage events, The FEI, using the qualifying system approved by the International Paralympic Committee, announced today that three nations have qualified for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Following their medal-winning performances at the recently-concluded 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Kentucky, the London 2012 qualified teams are: Great Britain, Germany and Denmark.
Although Great Britain qualified in Kentucky, as host nation for London 2012, their team would have automatically taken one of the eight places leaving seven slots to be filled. However, with Great Britain successfully qualified, there are still another eight vacancies to be filled.
The list of other qualifying events will be published before January 1, 2011.
