World-renowned Dutch Dressage competitor Anky Van Grunsven stole a bit of the show during the first day of Reining competition when she rode her palomino reining horse Whizashingwallas into 14th place.

Van Grunsven, from The Netherlands,  recorded exactly the same score  as team-mate Fenna Elzinga to slot into equal-14th position.   After her performance with her seven year-old palomino Whizashiningwallas, Van Grunsven said she just went for it. And, while she knew her spins needed improvement, she was very happy with her all-around performance.  Not surprisingly, it was her flying changes which garnered the most praise. "It's fun and I really enjoy it and the atmosphere is fantastic" said the woman who dominated the dressage arena for years.

Audio interviews with Van Grunsven are available in both English and Dutch.
